Step inside our over 100 year old traditional establishment and enjoy its original character, there is so much to see. Built in the 1910s by the Haritos family originally utilized as a house for many years .Dimos Haritos and his wife Jane and daughters opened Skala as a restaurant in 1982 and added the scenic rooftop later in 1989 and continued to run as one of the finest restaurants of the village. Closing the doors in 2014, they handed over the reigns and some secrets (try the infamous mars bar cheesecake!) to the Chrysopoulos family. In 2016, we opened the restored Skala bar & café. Exposing some original stonework and features. They injected a trendy, modern vibe to the authentic framework (most of the craftmanship was done within the family) . 

   You can sit at the bar and watch our barmen’s artistry whilst perusing our extensive selection of Gins, you can relax outside and take in the breath taking views of blue skies and the palm tree lined harbour or you can retreat to the rooftop for a meal or cocktail ambience and take in the beautiful sea view

Keeping with the times, the Skala team work hard all year round to bring you the most in vogue cocktails with stylish presentation and contemporary flavours that are one of a kind here in Kos. We lead the way with our popular brunch menu complete for everyones  taste . Our diverse expertise delivers heavenly burgers, luscious salads and a delectable choice of meze dishes. 

In 2017 we were excited to expand our house to include Thomas by Skala next door which gave us the opportunity to add main plates and grill to the Skala experience. We strive to cater for everyone’s needs and tastes all under one roof and with our vast space and inventive areas we can insure that you all enjoy your unique Skala visits throughout your stay with us.
